Zodiac Rentals

In the fall of 2014, we found this 7-unit multi-family on 12th St - our first commercial multifamily property - just south of Hatcher (9223 N 12th St Phoenix AZ 85020) While the property needed work, we were totally sold on the neighborhood with 2 parks within a couple-minute walk (Norton and Palma Parks) and stunning views of the Northern Preserve. We also adored the smaller but super cute stand-alone 2-bedroom bungalow on the side – making for a perfect owner’s suite.

To our pleasant surprise, not only is this part of Sunnyslope exceptionally scenic but it also hosts some of the best ethnic and hole-in-the-wall restaurants (Most Wanted Tacos, Los Reyes, North Mountain Brewing, Rainbow Donuts, etc.)  colorful, eccentric, and very friendly coffee shops (I am looking at you, Grinder’s) and extremely convenient shopping (Walmart, Fry’s, Safeway, Sprouts.) In fact, I so much fell in love with the cute bungalow that I myself moved into it for almost a couple of years. Some great memories of that large front-yard.

The pace at which this neighborhood has improved - part of the larger revival and rediscovery that Central and North-central Phoenix have experienced - and the great fun we had in turning this former eye-sore into quite the beauty will definitely make this project one of our most memorable.
