Their Annual State of The Nation's Housing is a must-read for anyone related to housing. The map section especially is extremely informative and easy to follow and has very insightful commentary on the rental market as well.
National Apartment Association
The apartment industry's lobbying group in D.C. and with new tax and housing laws being considered by the Trump administration, NAA's role has become increasingly important. Their website has some interesting research and articles too though some of these can be a little optimistic about the future of the apartment industry.
